Compatibility spans Samsung Smart TV models from 2011 through 2016, including popular lines like the D7000, ES7500, F4500, H5500, J5500, and K5300 series. The app automatically discovers TVs in proximity on your home network, making pairing effortless. Voice commands are also supported for hands-free control when your TV and device are connected.

The app requires permission to access your device's local storage — your photos, music, and videos — so it can cast them to your TV. Location access helps the app find nearby compatible models, and optional microphone access enables voice control features. These permissions work together to create a seamless casting experience.

Please note: Smart View is optimized for Android OS 6.0 and above, and permission management is available only on these versions. If you own a Samsung Smart TV from 2017 or later, including The Frame, Samsung SmartThings app is the recommended solution for casting and control. Some features may be limited by your region and device specifications.
